What's the level of difficulty on swapping the painted bumpers on my '74 2.0 for chromes, and where's the best place to find a nice chrome set?

4 bolts....
as to finding chrome bumpers, they fetch a premimum price, try classifieds and Camp914 (see banner ads)

plus all nuts for top rubber, horn grills, license plates... Easy stuff.

If your painted bumpers are in good shape, it might be cheaper to get them chromed. Check w/ the platers in your area.

Hello JC 914,
I also had painted bumpers on my car.
I wanted the chrome without the bumper tits....
I stripped the paint , welded the holes & spent a lot of time making them perfect.
I paid $500.00 total to have them plated.

Industrial plating in Seattle did the chrome, they are out of business now....
