I'm dreaming of a 912E as my next project. Anybody seen a contender? I don't even know what the problem areas are- I'm sure every design has it's hell hole though. I think I'll need a reasonably solid mechanical shape but not neccessarily running. Some body work is OK too, just as long as there isn't warpage.

The 912 owners have a pretty well organized web site and organized by region. You may want to look through it...? Seen several 912E's for sale.
