Can the engine mounts be installed for the engine bar after the fan housing is installed?

Thanks,

Early or late bar?

Early bar....tail shifter. Im about to put the cooling tins on my new engine, and have to drop my current engine if it needs the front engine mounts before the fan housing goes on.

That early style engine mount is super tough to work on with the fan housing on all the way. I had to work on it during my side-shift conversion this last winter. Here's a link to my thread with some good photos of the engine mounts and fitting a wrench in there = tight!

I did remove my engine because I wanted to, but I think removing the front tin only and scooting the fan housing back, without completely removing it, would work. Not much room in there for big hands or wrenches on the top bolts...maybe 1/16th turn at a time, then re-set the wrench...maybe a recessed ratched type wrench?. Good luck! beerchug.gif
