That early style engine mount is super tough to work on with the fan housing on all the way. I had to work on it during my side-shift conversion this last winter. Here's a link to my thread with some good photos of the engine mounts and fitting a wrench in there = tight!

Not much room in there for big hands or wrenches on the top bolts...maybe 1/16th turn at a time, then re-set the wrench...maybe a recessed ratched type wrench?. Good luck!
