Had some free time today so I put together my lift. Not
hard took about a hour to get it together and get the
parts car on it. Did it by myself.

I need to move the car back a little more on the lift.
Here is a pic from the front. Only problem I had was
my jack wasn't low enough to go under the lift bar.
I am using a 3 1/2 ton floor jack. A 1x3 under the front
of the lift was enough to give the height I need to get
the jack under the lift bar.

if its not coated, you need to paint that thing quick or it'll rust

Looks good, but is that blue car any better looking then the red LE? It looks even worse.

So this "lift" is two 12' pieces of steel that pivot up when you use your jack to raise them?

Looks good, I wish I could get in my garage. I was bored today also so I went to the local hardware store and built my new project.

In theroy it should launch a golfball at around 300fps for about 300 yards. Fun ehh! And if all else fails, I can launch car parts.

1) going to paint it after the holidays - thinking Signal Orange smilie_pokal.gif

2) A little better than the LE but still a POS

3) Actually the ramp it self is in 4 sections about 8' each
You can adjust the lenght of the ramps bolt them together
and place one end on the tall support held on by a long
rod and the other end has the lifting tube and a set a legs
that drop down to support the front of the lift. Its simple
and doesn't require power to lift. The bottom of the car is
about 30" off the ground with tires on it. Just right when
using a creeper.

I would love a nice 4 post lift but its not in the budget sad.gif
I have never been a fan of working under cars on jack stands. I feel a little safer using this "lift" over jack stands.
