Anyone know which VDO fuel gauge works with the senders in our cars? I have a customer tha would like to put a fuel gauge in his tach, but I do not know which one works.

OR

Does anyone know what the sender's resistance is, I can find it that way
Thanks

Sorry if there's mis-info. I did extensive research here and was told the 020 was the one to get... 3 different sources verified.

Mine's in my dash but not hooked up yet so, go with the person who is actually using it...

FYI... found the original string from almost 2 years back:

Also... here's a search string that may help:

Post #2 here:

Finally, this thread here where Trekkor installs an 020 and reports back with success:

I just went through the same thing, spoke with NH and the ohms for a stock 914 tank sender is 1.8-68 I found a 301-035 NLA VDO gauge from a vendor near me and installed it over the weekend and it works perfect smile.gif thanks dflesburg beer.gif

BTW: I have a 904 VDO gauge from Germany with Gas, Druck & Temp in Celcius aslo has idiot lights at the bottom for Gen. ,Oil, & tanks Res. For Sale if anyone is interested PM me, work perfect.

I don't blame you... again, after doing my research I was certain it was the 020. Now it's the 035. We should get a definitive answer.

James was quite the analyst. I would go off his readings if you're looking for resistance measurements.

Regarding 020 vs. 035?? Beats me at this point. confused24.gif
