I know the lug bolts are plated for the Fuchs wheels. Like a zinc plating or something.

Who does refinishing? Thanks.

any one who does cad plating can refinish them for you or you can just paint with silver wheel paint and install with a soft socket. Of course the factory used plastic lug nut covers to cover the heads so you could buy those.

Thanks, Doc. Steve G bought these from you years ago!

Now, regarding the plastic covers:
Did the "2.0 Fuchs" come with plastic covers?
Is it appropriate in the CW circles to use the covers?
Or is it simply a convenient solution?

The green you see is the copper corrosion products. They plated the steel bolt with copper, then cadmium. Cad plating is not common anymore due to its toxic nature. You might consider silver zinc plating. A bunch of CW's might consider pooling their bolts for new cad plating if a plater could be found.
