Cool weather's coming & po did not have heater hoses in place in the engine compartment. Is there a link, or does anyone have a diagram of the correct hose placement, and size hoses???

Thanks, Terry

The 73-74 cars would have one hose from the fan outlet to the J-tube that sticks through the engine tin on the driver's side. The passenger's side J-tube would be capped off with a plastic cap. I don't remember the size of the hose, but it's pretty big...

Under the car, there is one hose from each "flapper valve" to the inlet in the corner of the engine bay. Again, large size hoze--most of the mail-order outfits carry specialized replacement "aircraft hoses" for this application. A bit pricey, but very durable.

That's it for the heater hoses in the engine bay.

Out of the heat exchangers is a tube that has a slight bend. The flapper box is fixed at the end of this tube. The heater cable opens and closes a flap inside. The output of the flapper box has a flexible hose (approx 60mm ID) that connects to the tube that is in the long. A high temperature hose is best.

Looks like Dave got here first!
