I replaced the bulb and with direct 12V is works. Next step is to check the wiring.
HOw is the light activated?
Pics would be great if anyone has them avail.

Full Version: intrerior trunk light
From the wiring diagram - haynes pg 172 current track 33. Luggage light is W3. Comes on with parking lights - same cct as license plate lights (X on the diagram). Fed by way of fuse S7. Power picked up through the headlight switch.
