Interesting. How do you clean the black metal for priming when finished?
The black crud wipes off fairly easily, sometimes takes a little steel wool, but not much elbow grease. It sometimes shocking to see how much rust was really there. The good news, is that non-rusted metal doesn't dissappear. The difficult question I think is re-protection of areas you can't see and can't readily access like inside the longs.
Do any of you do anything to protect inside these enclosed areas in any way? Have to wonder if you could thread a weed sprayer into some of these areas, set it on mist and coat those difficult to reach areas with one of those glasser ionomer paints or zinc type paints?
Heck, as long as its in the neighbor's swimming pool
, I may as reverse the anode/cathode and galvanize it up a bit.
