Teenermen,

any good ideas for 205/60/15? Difficult size I know, but can't afford new rims right now.

I need a high performance set a little mode durable than my rapidly evaporating Advan A048. Responsiveness, traction and grip are high on the list. Who cares about wet weather and NVH?
The candidates:
- Yokohama AVS ES100
- BFGoodrich g-Force Sport
- ...

Comments, advice and suggestions welcome.

Cheers,
J.

Can't you just get 205 50 r 15's?

NOT the ES100s...

Always had good luck with BFGs in the past, but stopped rolling them after they discontinued the Comp T/A ZRs in 205/55R15.

I don't know anymore, there are some great tires out there, but our sizing is getting harder to find the best stuff in and the stuff that will work looks wierd. If you want 205/60s, I'd either go for the BFGs you mention or the Pirelli P6000 Summers on TireRack.

Me? I'm moving from 205/55R15 ES100s (still lots of depth, but junk) to Vredestein Sprint Classics in 185/70R15. Drove them on a real 916 and they were damned impressive. And they look "right" on our cars.

But then, thas just me.

I like my BFG g-force sports. Probably not the absolute best eprformance street tire out there, but in a 914 size they're pretty decent. And even though you say it doesn't matter, driving these in the rain is pretty damn easy.

Personally I don't like the smaller size and resulting gearing with 205-50s. 195-60 or 195-65 is a decent compromise.
