Any hints or suggestions would be appreciate. The strut is off the car though.

Are you asking about the dust cap over the pinch nut that holds the hub on the car? If so, you just have to pry it off, working your way around, with a large screwdriver, or pry bar.

Yes the cover over the pinch nut. I will try harder with a bigger pry bar or something. A buddy said there was an easier way, but he forgot.
