and hose clamps from
http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=311133515

and pre bent fuel injector to rail fuel line from
http://www.trademotion.com

and then i tried to start engine, engine turned over but no firing at all.

i checked around and damn - forgot to remove the small vice grips i had on the main fuel line to keep leaking to a minimum when i was taking the fuel injectors off initially.

my engine was running like crap (bucking and blowing smoke) the last time i drove it and figured it was a good time to cean up my injectors but once all back together my engine still ran like crap until i replaced one cracked spark plug wire -runs good now : )

Jim,

Did that clear up the smoking issue too?
If so I don't really understand why..... but that's great if it did! aktion035.gif

i think the smoke has cleared up

but i still need to remove the fuel injectors from the engine on the passenger side to tighen the four hose clamps and to better seat the fuel injectors in the runners - as I have a small leak somewhere on that side.

then i will be able to put some driving time on it to be certain the smoke is really gone ??

today i blasted it past 5000 rpm many times on my 15 minutes of test driving - watching my rear view and looking back for smoke that did not seem to be there : )

oh yeah - question - would switching wires to the injector cause a problem - as I have one missing injector plug housing and tried them both ways - i think it does make a difference which goes where??[i][u]
