I plan on repainting my '74 front bumper. It is a stock bumper, painted black from the factory. Is there a wurth paint or something that I can use which will replicate the factory finish, and be durable? thanks

I used DuPont self-etching primer (one coat), followed by Wurth Satin Black. Looks just like the back bumper. Both are in spray can form. I got the primer at the local store and the Wurth from Pelican.

IIRC, there is a hammered effect to the paint (correct me if im wrong)...does the wurth satin black replicate that, or is that already a finish on the bumper?

I lightly sanded down the front bumper when I got it to get rid of some flakes and junk. The self-etching primer lays down in the correct pattern. The combination of the original paint and primer maintains the dimpled effect. The Wurth satin exagerates that.
A lot of big words to say "it looks close enough".
