Hey guys... sorry for the crosspost. I wanted to put this here instead of the classifieds so I could answer questions about it.

As you may know, I'm in the process of changing my cooling on my t4 spyder to a DTM. This is the shroud I used on the car, which was inadequate in cooling a 2.5L 103*75 firebreathing T4. I had head temps of 375-410 on cyl #3 during hard running, and cooldown near 350. I cannot tell what it would be capable of on your motor, just that Air Cooled Classics does sell quite a few for racing (quite the trick for drag racing, as you can switch the fan off for max HP during runs). They are $599 from ACC for *just the shroud* and fan, without any alternator or bracketry.

Here's what I am offering:

(1) Shroud with fan, pre-drilled for a 914 style head. This can be glassed up if need be and re-drilled, the finish is still black gelcoat.
(1) East Coast Electric 1 wire GM alternator, which was $170.00 from Jegs.
(2) Custom made brackets to mount the alternator to the T4 case. These were made at a $50/hour fab shop, which probably cost me a few hundred dollars to make in total
(1) aluminum cover for the breather tower. No breather tower mods are required, but you must bolt this plate in place and connect some sort of PCV.
(1) Scat lower pulley (not pictured)
(1) fan belt
(1) bag of misc hardware (missing some, which you may not need anyhow, mostly grade8 nuts and bolts)

What you would need to buy/fab to make this work for you:
* adapters to remove/relocate your oil cooler (must use external cooling)
* lines to connect the breather box to a source of suction or a tank
* drill bosses on your breather box for fasteners which hold the breather block plate
* get 12V and ground to the fan (pref. from a relay)

I am looking to get $500 plus freight for the entire solution, which includes the $599 shroud, the $170 alt, and the associated costs to fabricate all of the brackets (say $200), which is an approximate savings of $469.00

This shroud would be ideal for a racing T4, or a car of milder disposition. Also, this would be an ideal starting point for a corvair belt-driven fan conversion, as it's the perfect size and could be a good "plug" for other molds.

If you are interested, please PM me or contact me via email at info&at&focusede&dot&com. (Remove ampersands from email address please) I will list this item on ebay in 5 days if I don't sell it, so act now I can take paypal or money orders only.

Thanks for looking smile.gif
