What cars have you seen driving around with paint the color of charcoal. Now I'm looking for a nice true charcoal look to it, not an off grey or a blusish gray, but charcoal. The closest one i've seen is the 02 Mustang's Dark Shadow Grey(not the pewter looking one, but the darker one), However I dont feel its just dark enough, I would kind of like it a little darker. Would metallic chips, or pearl esence take care of the job with that paint?

Ask a professional painter. i'm sure he/she would have no problem giving you the right answer. Paint can be mixed to any shade you desire. If the shadow gray is a close match,
use that as a starting point.
nice color BTW

Dolphin Grey (vw/audi color). But it looks like you want something a little more metallic.

Dolphin Grey (vw/audi color).
Both VW and Audi have particularly nice grays methinks.
(I'm trying to attach a pic but i dunno if it's going to work...)

I wish I had ordered my Boxster in Signal Orange or Gemini Metallic Blue. Still going with Adriatic Blue for my 1970 /6 conversion.

Now, if Porsche would just make a Boxster Targa
Steal some design cues from the 914 and it would sell like hot cakes.

I have the gray 914-6 formerly owned by Jim Chambers in Oregon. I like the color. I believe it is a later-year Porsche color.

I love Rob's color scheme. I saw it up at Brad's shop when I first saw my rust car, and wanted it painted the same way. It looks so stealthy. Brad promptly convinced me to go original silver, or he'd disown me. Maybe the NEXT 914 I own...

BTW, congrats Rob. Didja post a pic of the ankle biter on the members page yet?

What I want to know, is how did they change the color on this car? It is the exact same picture of the exact same car. Only the color was changed. Someone must be really good with Photoshop. The only difference is the color. How did they do that?
