I am converting to a six useing a Rich Johnson engine mount. I believe some have said the OEM four cylinder engine mounts can/should be cut out to make room for the six's valve covers? So should they be cut out? And how much do you cut out? Any pics from ones that have been done? Thanks
Chuck
You are a bit ahead of me in your conversion.

Yes, you can cut out the 4 engine mounts. Based on the research I've done, you don't HAVE to cut them out. But, if you don't need them, why leave them in? dry.gif It would provide more room for servicing the motor if you took them out. I plan to cut mine out.

Cut em out. Its easy, just takes time

i torched them off leaving about 1/4" of metal where they're connected to the frame, then cut/ground off the rest until all was gone ...

You'd be sorry if you subsequently decide to go to a V8 conversion!
