and rear.
fronts are M calipers
rears are stock 914-4 fronts
did this for ease of keeping the calipers clean....
smooth paint surface is much easier to wipe clean.
took about 8 coats of caliper paint to get them smooth.

Dan,
Those look great.
What steps did you go through for prep?

Hi Greg, Merry Christmas to you and Tricia.
I had them bead blasted in the spring when I had the motor apart.
then I kept procrastinating on what to do with the surface to keep it from rusting.
the kit came with a cleaner and the paint.
sprayed then down well, masked off the parts I did not want paint on, and painted and painted and painted.
8 coats in all. start at one end, do all four, start over.
they did come out pretty nice for ~$16 dollars for the paint kit and a couple of hours of work.
it is afterall, just a AX/track car. I really just wanted to be able to keep the caliper clean with just a simple wipe down, instead of rubbing and scrubbing.
the surface is now very smooth.
