Has anybody BTDT with the fiberglass top "skins"?

I am thinking dzus fasteners would be the cleanest approach but could be trickiest to install i.e. getting the depths correct. I also have some nice SS toggle latches that could be used at the front.

I would prefer to keep the top quickly-removable unless these fasteners can't handle the aero forces it will see (120mph); in which case I will just bolt it down.

I've seen most people use DZUS fasteners. I think it would be the best.

I use the DZUS fasteners for all my parts.
And besides, it looks real cool. cool_shades.gif

OK then...so I just need to figure out the depth(s) needed and how many to use??? I'm thinking 4 along the front edge and 2 in the back?

Sounds about right. Those little suckers are strong.
The depth is not that big of a deal because you can shim the springs with small washers if needed.

I've spent the last few weeks attching my front bumper/spoiler to the car with them. I used 6.
On the PITA scale of 1 to 10, it was about a 4.5.

I would think the roof panel would be much easier.
