Will be buying new tires to put on a set of Pedrinis. Want to go with 185/70 size to replace the 165 standard tires now on the car as they are about the same diameter. New 185/70 tires are not available for a decent price (if at all). 185/65 tires are available but the diameter is 1 inch less. Anyone have a picture of how these look on the car? I do no want to go with 195/65 tires (close to stock dia.) as I believe they might rub against A/C lines in the front (and maybe back) fender wells?

Comments?

Thanks,

Well, you cannot use the 185/65-14 (Honda) tires unless you find some 14" rims. They are scarce, but I have a set of ATS in that size.
The 185/70 or 195/65 or 195/60 are pretty good fit. When you get to 205 width it does get tricky.

I prefer the 195/65's and have had no problem with them on a 914. I had a slight rub on 1 side in front at full lock which was not an issue. I had no AC hoses however. Here are some 185/65 15's on my 912. I am soon going to the 195's to better fill the wheel well.

I believe you meant 185/70-15's are rare. I have ordered a set of 185/65-15's and will live with the smaller tire for now. The 185/65's are readily available. I did look at Coker tire and they want $191.00 for each Michelin XAS 165HR15 and $301.00 each for a Michelin XWX 185/70-VR15. If I had the $$$ I would go for the XWX's but for now, NO thanks at these prices. I bought a whole set of Continentals (a decent tire) for about the price of one XAS.

Thanks

185 65 15 is not a tire you can find easily in tire stores not many vehicles use that tire try finding a 155 r 12 in stock somewhere

btw I work at a tire store chain

I don't know about tire stores but Tire Rack has 35 different tires in size 185/65x15.
