I'm about to tackle installing new rubber seals around the engine tin. Is there a recommended sequence of installation, e.g., should the front go in 1st, then sides or whatever? Or can they go in in any order?

Also the old ones are stapled together where they meet at each corner. Is that correct?

i've never seen anything about installation sequence. i would try to visualize ahead and install to make fit easier (i'm thinkin' about how the corners will match up, no specific comments on them). don't know about staples at the corners, never seen them but i'm a novice. you might be about to use dishwashing liquid to help with the installation of the rubber formed edges into the metal grooves.

I installed mine front, then sides then rear

but i don't think it really matters

I had the staples, haven't put any back corners are pretty tight.
