This is a newspaper clipping. It does not appear to be related to the movie of that name from 1962. Where does it fit in?

Thanks for cleaning it up. Digitals don't work good in low light. Its far too long for my scanner.

Didn't this poser destroy a Brumos 914 at the first Rennsport meet? Mr. Newman has no buisness in valuable equipment at his age. I think he is scheduled for a ride in the Daytona 24 this year.........amazing!!! Don't ask me about what I think about his stand on open wheel racing.

He did run a corvette at Lime Rock last year's Trans Am race there. Finished 5th I think.

My wife and I were at Limerock when Newman crashed, right in front of where we were sitting. Driving number 159 Brumos 914. A white 911 in front of him slowed and caused Newman to hit him in the rear.

Another shot.

Third picture. Newman out of the car.

The aftermath. Not my photo, I found it on the web.

Too Late Blues is what Paul Newman had when he drove into the back of the 911 at the Rennsport Reunion.

A few years ago I was crewing at Daytona 24 hrs. Newman was in the race, teamed up with some pro's (Tommy Kendall, Scott Sharp? maybe. I don't remember). What I do remember was that he did a double stint in the dark and had competetive lap times relative to his co-drivers and he was 70+ years old at the time. clap56.gif pray.gif smilie_pokal.gif beer.gif smilie_flagge24.gif
