Found this 4 page brochure on the Samba:

It looks like it uses this US Tools 610/3 and 610/4 adapter plate and its a lot more stable with the 4-wheel base.
my jackstands dont go up high enough to use that tool.
I guess the guy who was lifting transmissions in the 356 video must have hurt himself...

Chris Foley makes something similar
Mine can go about 7 feet in the air and I love it. Worked great when I dropped the tranny out of my Ghia.
Where can I get me a hydilikylongen at? 
That sure would have helped out a bunch a few months ago.
