Of course, it also depends how you define 1972. The calendar year or the model year?
i *clearly* stated above that *NO* car with a '72 VIN ever left the factory with a 2.0L 4 cylinder motor.
i don't think you can "define" it any more clear ...
just to stir the pot Andy, where did you say 2.0L
4 cylinder motor?
"so, technically, yes, there were 4817 2.0L 914s build in '72, *BUT* they were all sold as '73 models and had a '73 VIN number ..."
and to stir a little more, "well, he *did* mention '73 2.0L cars so i *assumed* he was talking about the 4 cylinder cars as *no* /6 cars were build in '73 ...
rolleyes.gif Andy" actually he specifically asked about 72 2.0 liter cars in the original post "
"Show’s that the 1972 year with a 2.0L engine option. Is that correct? Could you buy a 1972 with a 2.0L?"
Anyway, just having fun, please don't take offense, i knew what you meant but I see how it could have been confusing since the 6's were 2.0 Liters and available in 72.
