Please define old!!??
"Old" - just about any original owner of a 914. Used in this group to separate the metal cutting fabricators from those who polish & maintain. Not meant to be a negative term.
Unless you bought your 914 when you were 16, you pretty much have to be in your 50's or 60's. I bought my 914 new in '72, when I was 25, so I fit into the latter group.
We do a lot of bantering in this group, so a thick hide doesn't hurt.
Welcome! Post a pic when you can.

Thx Pat
Bought it new in March, 73. Almost bought a used '72, but ex father in law said "go for new". Best decision I ever made. A few years ago it was either wife and show dogs, or the car. I still have the car. 2nd best decision I ever made. Used to be active in PCA, went to several parades, but always got the feeling that they thought the 914 was kind of a "bastard son". Car hasn't been out much for several years, (I'm a construction supervisor for Habitat for Humanity, keeps me busy, building houses) but I'm trying to get it back on the road. Needs brake work. Eric Shea, can you help? If the weather ever warms up here in Iowa, I'll try to get some Pics. It's led a sheltered life, never seen snow.
More later. As I said the other day, I'm going to have lots of questions.
