While I am waiting on my Hayes manual and welding books I was looking around the car. What is this for?
It did not feel like it was attached to anything.

Sorry for the multiple posts. Is there any free software to combine pics? Running Win98

It looks like that wire is there to provide an "ignition" spark so your car can "burn" rubber (and everything else)! laugh.gif

Maybe the PO had a freakin' huge power amp up front? Does it run back to the battery?
Gint
That's not a factory wire. Get used to that. Where there is one, there is more.

Since your fuel gauge is not proper caliberated for the east coast the PO included that so you could check your fuel level.

The duct tape is your 1st clue. Ain't supposed to be there.

Hey, you're close enough; go tell George you have a 914 part he doesn't. cool_shades.gif

Not a factory piece.
Guessing it went to an amp in the trunk. Remove it and plug the hole.

Goes to the anti theft fuel tank ignition circuit. Handy in a high crime area.

LOL.
Maybe if someone trys to steal it the wire will set off a spark and just blow the whole car up.

Where is the big fireball smilie?
