Does anyone here have any experience disconnecting the emergency brake from the hub on a 911 rear brakes? How do you do this?

Which part of it do mean?

If you mean the whole assembly, then you pull the hub and take out the four bolts that hold the bearing in. The e-brake plate is held on by those bolts.

I just want to seperate the rear trailing arms from the car and the only thing holding them on at the moment is the emergency brake. Do I have to remove the hub to disconnect the brake or is there an easier way?

Oh, the cable. It has a nut screwed on the cable, but I think there is a cotter pin (not sure about all years). To get the cotter pin out you will have to pull the brake disc for access.

It's probably easier to undo the cable at the handle and pull it with the arms.

Did you take the disk off already?
Should be pretty self expanatory once you have the disk off...
There's a little castled nut (with a split pin) on the cable. Remove it an you can pull the cable out

cheers,
