I made a "console" so I could mount some 6x9 speakers on the
sides. I had been planning to make an iPod mount for the
front since I have an Alpine head unit that can control my
iPod.

I spent Saturday making some things out of wood that I
covered with vinyl, but I wasn't happy with the outcome. So
I went to Lowe's looking for some sheet metal that I could
fab up as a sleeve type of holder. Then I had a brainstorm
to use some drawer pulls.

I'm pretty happy with this solution.

Anybody else mount an ipod?

How did you do it?

Neat trick! Alpine has some kick ass head units.

I have always loved Alpine head units. Well built, but always on the higher end of the pay scale and they seem to wait long after a technology is proven to impliment it in their units.

It was cool that both of them were sized just about exactly
right for what I was trying to do.
