I have dual dellortos with CB air cleaners and linkage. Are the filter elements supposed to be oiled to trap the dirt particles?? Or are they supposed to be used dry?

what do they look like? are they similar to a K&N?

i regularly wash and clean my K&N and reapply a generous coat of K&N oil ...

There has been instances of MAF fouling with K&N type filters when oiled. I would say that with dual Dells you are in no danger of causing problems by oiling but Andy with his 3.6 and MAF might be...

Most of the problems I have heard of were on Boxsters. Not sure it translated to the early/mid '90's 911 though... I personally had to repeatedly clean the MAF and replaced it once on my Boxster due to my K&N. I finally took it off.

How do you know?? HEhehe. Just kidding. I guess I will spray some K&N oil on them.

They must be oiled that's how they work or stick with the stock aircleaner.

With K&N's if you don't oil them you may as well run no filter.
