1979 928 S2 engine... sounds like a resonable price. Don't know anything about em etc.

'78 was the first year ... '79 will not be an S2 (32 valve); it will be a 16 valve AFAIR. About 210 HP I think.

It's an S2 engine that the guy bought for his 1979 and decided that it would not fit.

I wouldn't know an S2 motor from a 327....

IRCC the S2 is a "S" spec 16 valve engine (2 valves per) The S4 is a 32 valve. (4 valves per)
The block number is needed to confirm the engine year, type and status.
My engine is an M/28 11 = 1980 euro spec "S" = 300hp
My new engine will be a hybrid. 5.0 with the euro spec "S" heads, cams, spyder and throttle body.
