An old Formula Vee racing friend sent this--a link to some pretty good racing photographs:

The links to the pictures are arranged "roughly" chronologically. Some of the ones from the early to 1960s (like the attached) really brought back some memories from my formative years as a car nut.

BTW, the pics are the Olivier Gendebien/Paul Frere in the winning Ferrari TR250 at LeMans in 1960, and Jackie Stewart in a BRM in 1965 . . . .

Nice photo album. One thing always amazed me is the late adoption of wings onto race cars which seem to appear sometime around 1968.

Although very early in race car development engineers realized the drag from passing air and designed cars to slip through the air, it wasn't until the late '60s that the engineers realized that air could be used to their advantage with wings.
