What are the differences in the front cooling fan that drives the alternator.
I have a few and I am about to pick on to clean up/restore.
I did not see a part number, but they are filthy.
Are the timing marks different??

Supposedly:
1.) New replacement fans are only marked with TDC
2.) 1.7 / 2.0 fans are marked with TDC and 27 degrees.
3.) 1.8 fans are marked with TDC and 7.5 degrees
Now, that said, I have had two fans which the TDC mark did not line up with the TDC mark on the flywheel (they were about 15 degrees off). 'Splain that Lucy".
It really doesn't make any difference as you can mark your own timing /valve adjust marks on them

And bus fans have the marks way over to the left of the centerline, 'cause the timing is done against a scale affixed to the shroud. The Cap'n

so that makes it simple...they are either 1.7 or 2.0 914 fans...and that is what I need...so cool.
