On Monday, I'm going to purchase a 72 911 2.2l for a conversion project. The flywheel and clutch are relatively new. Will it be compatible with a 901 side shift? Thanks, Eric

You need a 2.0 flywheel. The 2.2-2.7 flywheels and clutches are for the 915 trannys. I got one on ebay from a member here for $150.00 a couple of months ago. At this point I believe that my 4 cyl racing clutch and pressure plate will fit the 2.0 flywheel, we'll see.

You have to acquire the early 901 flywheel .... 6 bolt mount / 215 mm clutch.

Then your /4 clutch will bolt up. The /4 914 2.0 clutch and /6 early clutch are essentially the same.
