I think the smog pumps on '75-76 2.0 cars were made by Nippon-Denso....
Nippondenso is what my smog pump says. It's in a drawer in my shop.

I bet some of the resistors in the ECU are made in Japan ( or the stuff inside the ICU)
aha. that explains it. i've never seen a 914 smog pump...
