This is a very special 914 and an excellent example of maintaining Stock appearace while enhancing performance with upgrades and meticulous attention to every detail. This car is still fuel-injected, and is reliable enough to drive everyday. It has been through a year-long, body-off paint process, but has never been in any accidents.

This car is absolutley gorgeous, and is very spirited and fun to drive. The weight distribution is 48% front / 52% rear. It has Bilstein Sport suspention, heavy springs, sway bars, and is shod with 205/50 R15 S-Drive tires. All that means you have to be coming out of a corner really fast to get it to drift out - and that is very controlled and predictable.

The "S" denotes the factory ugrade called "Apeparance Group" and includes:
• 5 original Fuchs Alloy wheels (4 are polished, Spare is original)
• Chrome bumpers
• Front and Rear sway bars
• Driving lights (Original, in bumper)
• Dual Horns
• Center console with VDO gauges
• Armrest
• Map storage box
• Loop carpeting (Charcoal)
• Leather-wrapped Steering Wheel
• Leather Shift Boot

Non-Stock upgrades (Stock appearance is maintained throughout):

• Porsche 911S Master Cylinder (19 mm)
• Braided brake lines
• BMW 320i Front Brake Calipers (Big)
• 100 pound rear springs
• Front Bilstein Ssport Struts
• Rear Bilstein Shocks (Aug ’04)
• Porsche 911S Clutch (Fordah’s Motorsports, 2006)
• All center console gauges replaced with VDO Calibrated gauges
• PerTronix Ignitor - electronic ignition, March ’06 and NEW March ‘08
• Triad custom dual-out Exhaust (passenger side is hidden)
• Street-Performance brake pads
• Street-Performance alignment
• NEW Yokohama S-Drive 205/50 R15 street performance tires (2008)
• Black PORSCHE foot mats (by Lloyd’s, Feb ’05)
• Porsche 914 passenger footrest, charcoal (1970)carpet
• Original 914 black bra, (1972)
• Body-off restorative paint job in 1996
• GelCel sealed battery (April ’04)
• K&N Air Filter (reusable forever)
• Hella H4 headlight upgrade
• Xenon super white bulbs

Included
• All owners’ receipts, repair manuals, Touch Up Paint and spare parts go with this vehicle
• Original owner’s manual
• Original Stock Jack
• Stock Porsche 914 Tool Kit

Nice car! Wonder what engine is in it?

I would guess a 2.0 given the Appearance Group and the 2.0 Fuchs. With that price and miles I have to guess it is original.

Agree or a bumper change, and that could be bad. sad.gif
Root_Werks
NICE! 35k miles, wow, that is cool. I had a chance to view in person a 914 that only had 30k or so miles on it at CAMP914 once. Amazing to see something in such perfect shape. Not restored, just new still.

Looks familiar! biggrin.gif

Also with every option but A/C .....ours has a few more miles on it though. biggrin.gif

So on the Craigslist car,
how do you do a body off paint process on a unibody car? Did they cut off the fenders, quarters, cowl, targa bar, windshield frame and the F & R panels, paint them and weld them back on without damaging the paint?

yah it's funny when people try to use fancy general technical terms on specailty/cult cars.

DAMN IT! I knew when I broke my OEM console light taking out the back pad I was gonna regret it!

whoa...
rhodyguy
the $460 kills me. not $19.4k nor $19.5k. better be prepared to pull the covers off the longs or have pictures for that kind of money. sleepin, the new silver car looks good with the bumperetts gone. seen it, that is a pretty straight car. nice trunks.

Got most of the bugs worked out of it by now. Had to track down a lot of dirty connections for lights and the electrical system. Resealing the rear window and installing new seatbelts next week.

Now to fix that paint!...... icon8.gif

1.8 nice clean car...
dw914er
that's alot of money for the -4's. At this rate, 914s are gonna be worth more than used boxsters, etc.

Interesting
Sleepin
Good point when you can buy a used Boxster for $10k... a nice 914/4 is not far off!
