the sills/thresholds look to be made out of a 2X12 covered in fiberglass. look at that straightness! that's quality, that is!

The 930 fins are made of wood, one needs to be replaced due to a crack. They are mounted with screws from behind.

Not wheel size.... tire size. Maybe it is the tread but they look like they bulge too much. I would think a 225 50 would look really good. I dunno.

Why change the rims? they look appropriate to the car. I actually think yours is quite well done as far a chalons go. I would leave it alone. work on functionality first, appearance second....
