I just moved the adjustment on the front trunk springs to the most forward position....it seems like the trunk is now somewhat bowed. I had the car apart for 9 months but I don't remember having this problem. Is this why people put the the piston type trunk supports on the car?..or is mine just tweeked.

Thanks, Dave

When you move the spring attachments further forward, you're making the spring pull harder on the lid. It's trying to push the lid up, so it bows up in the middle. The latch at the front is holding it down, the hinges at the back are holding it down, the springs are trying to push it up.

Move the springs back a notch and see if putting less tension on them lessens the bow.
