So I got a few core trannies as partial payment for doing some rebuild work. Unfortunately, 2 came in abominable condition. They looked like they were found buried on the beach. One had sand and rocks in the case These are past salvageable, I cant even get the damn parts off I though you all would appreciate the situation.....now I need to figure out where I can dump these.

That is a recent development. I still have to rearrange my shop. I was up early and over at my friends house cleaning his garage so I can put my wrecked car there.

Don't worry about the rust...it will buff out...

just put the rusted gearstack into your 914 overnight. on top of the hell hole is usually a good place for this.

the 914 will absorb the rust and the gearstack will be as good as new!

Sanblast the tranny case and make a table out of it. Either that or send it back to the sand bar it came from.

Dude, that makes the one that I had look shiny and new.

But just think of the press you would get if you could have saved them.
