not to threadjack, but does anyone have an up close picture of Craigs kit installed... The pictures included in the directions are extremely blurry and I've always been more of a "need to see it" kind of guy

Center the top bracket in between the two bolts that hold the hinge to the hood, on the hinge itself. Mark those, center punch, drill and mount the top pieces.

Attach the piston, open the hood all the way, extend the piston all the way...with lower bracket attached, mark where that bracket goes.
The lower bracket that I used mounted under the rubber with two holes drill straight down. Use silicone to keep the water from penetrating.
