Located down in the hell-hole area of the engine compartment these nipples are supposed to drain the basins. They get clogged quickly and cause water to pool. This leads to the rust damage that the hell hole is famous for. Most owners removed these years ago.

Ahhh! Have had two of these sitting in a box for 30+ years and never knew what they were (hence kept them just in case). Now I do! Thanks!
