After 11 years of marriage (this time around) my wife has consented to my request (pleading) for a tool set for Father's Day. I have been looking at the Craftman catalog and am totally lost. Module 1 is a no brained, but what else do I need to do some BASIC work on my 914? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Get a 150 piece set or more.
Get acid etched (sp) sockets that are easy to read...it helps. (3/8 and 1/2 inch)
Get open/box end wrenches metric up to 22mm
Get allen heads
Get torx bits
Get a good flashlight/droplight/headset of lights
A full set of the lower cost screw drivers..(always need more)
A tie rod fork
A full set of large screw drivers/pry bars
A mightvac for brake bleeding
A set of dental picks..(all sorts of uses)
Jack stands
A good hydraulic jack (get one exactly like the one you have...) two jacks that match make removing the engine a breeze...

Air compressor (largest you can afford)
air grinder/cut off wheel (manly dremel)
air sander/grinder
spot paint gun...small one for touch up work.

A full detail tool kit.
Brushes, both brass and nylon
polishing compound, chrome cleaner, wax, back to black, etc etc
An electronic buffer

Safety glasses, disposable masks, full face shield.

Welder, helmet, gloves, stand, spare wire.

That should do the sears CC for this year...
