I'm in the middle of installing all new hard brake lines. But I'm going to install a manual adjustable proportioning valve so I need a few fittings. I went to NAPA today thinking they would have them but they said they didn't carry any metric fittings? mad.gif So where do you purchase 10mm bubble flare fittings? I need a coupling ( like the one in the tunnel ) and at least two fittings to go from 10mm bubble flare to I think 1/4 male fittings ( this goes into the proportioning valve ). Any help is appreciated beer.gif

look for a foreign autparts store.
most of the modern cars use metric, so they are out there.
NAPA is catering to the local clients...so they carry what sells.

Fed Hill should have them. Great folks to deal with.

Actually, our Napa store carried a whole rack of metric brake lines in a variety of sizes. They also ordered me a nice bubble flare tool. I bought a bunch of the longest lines they had regardless of the length I needed. I cut off one end to get the proper length and used the tool to flare it again. This left lots of left over line for future use for only a few dollars more.

I used that flare tool more than I would have imagined. If I goofed bending a custom line, I just tossed it and used the extra material rather than buying another line......

If you ask for "10mm" line, they won't have that. You need to ask for 3/16 line with a bubble flare. It will come with the proper fittings.

The fittings are another story. hard to get. My adjustable PV needed 1/8" pipe to a female bubble. I made sure they came with the PV since I knew they were hard to find.

I got a bunch of that stuff from CNC but I'm not sure if they are still selling to the public. You may have to go to one of their dealers.

I guess I just have to dig deeper here in Orlando. I'll start with Euro parts store and then move to local hydraulics parts house. Thanks guys.

Not that I have been able to find. If you are local, you may want to join the Central Florida VW Club.

There was a aircooled specialist with a bit of a parts store over on Colonial near Winter Garden a little while back but everything I heard about him was that he wasn't worth the trouble to go see. Fisher Buggies is in Tampa, but I don't hear many good things about them either.

I buy all of my stuff on-line. UPS is cheaper than the gas to go get the parts.
