What is the right part number for the hi/lo beam headlight relay?

Is this it?

141-951-253-B-M5206

or

141-951-253-B

My relay is mangled and now just clicks but doesn't ratchet anymore.

Thanks in advance.

Neither.

The available replacement is VW 111-941-583, but requires a jumper from tab 30 to 56 to work properly in a 914.

Sorry - Ratchet relay is an old habit - flip/flop or clutch relay might be better wording. I tried tweaking the plunger that selects the different switch positions but it is too bent to get back and be reliable.

Thanks!

Yep, and the proper technical term is a latching relay (but I knew what you meant smile.gif ).
