Noticed a few threads lately about RIMCO in Santa Ana, and I'd like to just chime in and say that ALL of my VW and Porsche engines have had the cases machined and shuffle pinned by RIMCO. The cases done by them are always excellent, and I think that our blue 914 is a fine example of this. My dad built that engine in 1990, and from 1990 to 1998 my mom drove it in her black 914 on the street. It then sat in our backyard for a few years, after which we dropped it into the blue 914 and it's been winning races ever since. Over 100,000 miles, and coming on 20 years old, and it's still going strong.

RIMCO has done great work for us for a long time, and I just wanted to mention that it's appreciated, and no 914 should be without a good shuffle-pinning by them.

Here's a picture of the car for reference:

Yeah, it's a Chalon fiberglass body kit, put on a long time ago.

I used RIMCO to do all of my machine work when I rebuilt my 4 and had no problem with their work.

Although that was 4 years ago.
