So what can you guys tell me about a K40 radar? I have no clue what model or how old this thing is. I bought a 1998 540i BMW yesterday and found this hiding under the dash. I got it from a dealer who didn't even know it was there. Anything you guys can tell me would be great. I don't even know if its installed right. As of now, its being held on with zip ties that the guy before me used.

Great systems but that one looks really outdated. Probably would work fine in areas where the cops still use older systems but with the newer technology it won't help at all.
The new K40 caliber system is pretty badass. Look to see integrated GPS with radar and laser systems in the next year or 2.
