Hi folks,

A while back I saw a 911SC with a set of 2 piece fuchs. That is, a Fuch-style center was riveted to an alloy rim. Were these likely an aftermarket wheel or can existing wheels be converted to 2 piece? More importantly should they be converted? I'm not really interested in giving up any strength..

I'm curious because I kinda liked the appearance, but also because I thought it might be an easier way of changing backspacing (easier than tracking down some 911R rims).

Thanks!

I thought Compmotive in England used to make a Fuchs-style modular wheel, but it's not listed on the US distributor's site. Some interesting wheels just the same.

Thanks guys. Lindsey seems pretty reasonably priced, but they only make them in 16X6 or bigger. I'm running 15X6 (maybe 7) in the rear right now. I think some people have run 16X6 under stock fenders successfully, but I'm not really sure what sizes. Anyone have any experience running 16's?

Thanks,

Adam

If you run 16X6 just go to a plus 1 tire. The od will be the same.

I had 205/55/16s on 16X6's at each corner on mine. Looked great and fit fine. In the spirit of if something ain't broke, fix it till it is, I'm upgrading to 7's and 8's by 16's with SC flares out back. One of these days...
