This is a few shots looking up at the bottom of the rear fender lip on my car. Is this the correct contour of the lip or has it been modified for possibly wider wheels?

Looks stock to me

70 through 72 did not have this. Change was made for 73 and newer cars.

Up to 72, the dimension you show was consistent through the wheel well. For 73 and newer, additional tire clearance was added.

Got it, its a '74 so makes sense.

As far as I have seen, only '70 does not have this. (I'm talking about the rear fenders, never really cared about the front since there's so much room.)

my 72 has it, my 73 has it, my 74 has it.

Yeah I wondered about that when I posted... I do recall it being a very early car thing that didn't have that.
