trying to tear dowm a 2.0. case will not come apart. what am i missing

I don't know which, but you probably still have one perimeter bolt on the case. They can hide pretty well in all the grease and dirt. A rubber mallet helps sometimes too.

That be a nut and it needs to be removed.

good eyes it is. had to run down 2 flights of stairs to look at it. will remove it. one quick question whats the best way to sperate it. thanks

Long skinny bolt here, careful when you tighten(middle)
On left looks like a nut... I use a rubber mallot and a block of wood.

If you had my video you would not have hit this snag... We go over EVERY fastener step by step.
Lots of cases have been ruined because 3 of the toughest to spot fasteners aren't removed.
The case will split like butter when the fasteners are removed, if ANY effort is required, you have forgotten something.

He must not have watched it, or paid attention.. I cover BOTH those bolts independently, because they are always the ones that are missed at tear down.
