New car currently has a big gaping hope for a radio, I'd like to put a stock one in when I re-finish the dash.

The factory did not supply radios in 99% of the 914s. They were dealer supplied. Anything from the 70s is acceptable. "I" would try Woody's, the advrtise on eBay and the net.

They make vintage looking radios with modern guts with IPOD jacks. Reasonable and Porsche friendly. In Orange County CA if I remember.

You can just get a face plate too. I think there are two types (different textures) if
memory serves me correctly. Think AA has them.
