For inquiring minds that want to know. The 73 Service and Tech manual(p-40) says that the calipers are interchangeable side to side.

They certianly are but, there is one subtle difference; one of the bleeders is inset slightly. I like to use this one as the top bleeder.
Also, before ye go changing lefts and rights around you'll want to make sure the orientation of the pistons is correct.

I knew about the piston rotation. I was just checking to see if anyone else would catch it. I never paid any attention to the slight indention though.
