Jake Raby provides a Mallory ignition with his kits; he claims it's essential to getting the hp he promises. Has anyone run the same motor set-up with some other ignition, then switched to the Mallory? Dd you get a difference worth noting-- did you dyno a before and after?

Why would someone go to all that trouble when Jake has already done it? confused24.gif

Just do what he says. He is only right about 99% of the time.

Mallory is nice because it is 100% tunable advance curve. Not many other distributors do that, so there aren't many alternatives to swap to. We're not talking about CDI boxes here.

We no longer recommend the Mallory. Recently the manufacture of the units has changed and the result has been units that do not meet our standards.

We didn't have a failed Mallory for 8 years, we have had 1/2 dozen failed units that didn't pass our tests in the past 3 months.

Alternative units are now being tested. More information will be posted on my forum as details become available.

Just another product that has suffered from lower cost manufacturing.

Is a crankfire system in the testing? If so... please let us know your results and hopefully a 'kit' will be available in your store...
